Guilanya & Associates is the commercial name of SMART LEGAL IURIS SL, with CIF number B67273136, a law firm in Barcelona that offers highly specialized legal services in some of the most complex areas in private law: (i) legal advise to owners in complex engineering projects where EPC or EPCm contracts are needed; (ii) legal advise in corporate and commercial law in complex legal issues; (iii) helping startups in all legal steps in financial rounds; (iv) helping business people and enterprenerus in drafting complex contracts, notably software contracts; and (v) defending the interests of our clients at court in civil and commercial disputes.

The name partner, Rubèn Guilanyà, is a corporate and civil law litigation laywer with a Phd in Law (Summa Cum Laude). He started as a lawyer in Uria Menendez Abogados, one of the most prestigious law firm in Spain for corporate and commercial law. There, he learned from the best both (i) corporate and commercial law and (ii) civil litigation. Afterwards, he decided to found his own legal firm to lead his own project with the idea of bringing to his clients the execellence of a big law firm and the proximity of a small one. Rubèn Guilanyà has also studied philosophy (Masters Degre with Honors) to bring to his clients the most powerfull analytical thinking to complement his legal skills.

After 10 years of successfull activity, we have acquiered deep expertise in three areas of law: (1) legal assistance to all the steps of big and complex engineering projects in the chemical industry; (2) corporate law and commercial law, specially in startup financial rounds and (3) civil litigation in complex cases. Civil litigation allows us to bring to our negotiating and drafting skills the court perspective.
